Gas Flow Controller (GFC)

Pivotal Systems has introduced a new innovative gas flow controller (GFC) capable of self correcting over a wide flow range of 0.5% to 100% of full scale with an accuracy of 0.5% of set point at a guaranteed response time of <100 msec. This new innovative technology will enable process tools to control their gas flows more accurately and repeatably. The 20 sccm version flows down to 0.1 sccm at our guaranteed accuracy specification. Pivotal Systems’ gas flow controller, with its integrated and patented Gas Flow Monitoring (GFM) technology and proprietary valve, addresses the current challenge of maintaining accurate flow with only intermittent calibrations, usually carried out with a rate-of-rise measurement using the tool’s process chamber. Pivotal System believes this new technology will disrupt the current gas flow control standards in many of the etch, CVD, ALD and other process tools.
