Cleantech Forum Asia, Singapore, November 13-14 2018

Overview

Between 2007 and 2010, Cleantech Group hosted six Cleantech Forums in Asia: three in China, two in India, and one in South Korea. Since then, CTG has run a number of invitation-only summits in Asia, but we are excited to announce that we are now expanding our current Forum platform into Southeast Asia with an inaugural Cleantech Forum Asia, taking place November 13-14, 2018.

Cleantech Forum Asia is part of AsiaConnect Week – one week, two events. AsiaConnect Week is a joint initiative between Cleantech Group and Umore Consulting. It consists of two events, both have different i3 campaigns:

  1. Cleantech Forum Asia in Singapore on November 13-14, hosted by Cleantech Group.

  2. CleanConnect in Nanjing, China on November 15-16. This event has been hosted and organized by Umore Consulting for 4 years. For the 2018 edition, Cleantech Group will run a Next-Gen Energy & Industry Innovation Summit within Umore’s wider event. The existing CleanConnect event will be most suitable for companies with solutions around Air, Soil, Water and Waste. (Click here if you wish to see this opportunity.)

Why Asia? Why Now?

Asia is where most of the world’s population resides, with the fastest rates of urbanization, where the majority of the world’s heavy industries are located, and where the majority of the world’s products are manufactured. However, while Asia is fast-growing, it is not very resource-efficient.

Asia is hungry for innovation and is investing in cleantech solutions that can solve Asian environmental challenges and provide global competitive industrial advantage.

More than 1 in 3 companies from Europe and North America within our Global Cleantech 100 have an Asian investor/partner (up from 1 in 5 two years ago). The majority of new multi-national corporations who have set up open innovation units in the last 2 years have come from the APAC region. Asia, led by China, is becoming a stronger force in startups. This is a fertile and receptive environment for the right solutions, but networks and building impactful relationships with those who know their way around is critical.

This is a key motivator for us to bring our Cleantech Forum series to Asia. The trailblazers have proven that Asia can be the engine of global growth for the right solutions. Will you be next?

What to Expect?

The aims of the Forum are to convene the only truly international conference focused exclusively on cleantech innovation in Asia, and provide cleantech stakeholders across the globe an annual opportunity in Asia to exchange viewpoints and to learn, meet and do deals.

The Forum will showcase leading innovations relevant to Southeast Asia and APAC more generally to investors and corporate partners interested in young, emerging and potentially fast-growth companies.

Why Apply?

You are a young company at startup or scale-up stage with a relevant solution to this region. For 48 hours, you will have the chance to meet a wide range of investors and corporations not normally all together in one place. We expect representation from Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and more.

What to do Next?

We will accept companies on a rolling basis, so early applications will be at an advantage. Companies offered the opportunity to be showcased within the event (with participation in the program) will have 10 days to confirm their place or risk losing it. There is a fee of $495 for all attending companies, modest relative to the value of what will be a high quality audience. Apply now.
